2017 UGA Meigs Award

The use of parasites as biological indicators was the subject of Dr. Byers’ 2016 TEDxUGA Talk: Parasites: The Unlikely Heroes.

Our lab’s work on crab and oyster reef ecology was featured on Georgia Outdoors (a portion of the episode: “Fiddling with Crabs”).

Georgia’s most common yet mysterious Bonnethead Shark.
